To celebrate Bajaj Pulsar’s 18th anniversary, mCanvas, the experiential storytelling ad platform for small screens, and Mindshare, the largest media agency of GroupM, co-created an interactive rich-media mobile ad that is engaging users creatively, while building on the nostalgia around bikes.
Bajaj Pulsar, one of India’s pioneering motorcycle brands, aspired to refresh its iconic legacy in the user’s mind on the occasion of its anniversary, by taking a walk down memory lane to celebrate this bespoke milestone.
Seamlessly integrated in an interactive ad format, the mobile campaign first highlights the launch of India’s sportiest bike in 2001. Displaying the copy ‘8 super successful variants & 1.2 crore bikes later…’ two fingerprint icons at the bottom of the screen appears, labelled ‘You’ and ‘Us’. This symbolizes the contributions of the brand’s employees and customers towards the bike’s success. On placing both thumbs on the icons, lightning emerges from those points towards the centre, signifying the power of the partnership, revealing the brand’s messaging, with a ‘Know More’ CTA, that directs users to the landing page.
Reaching over 6.2 million users, the campaign is witnessing an impressive 1.6% click-through rate, which is 8 times the 0.20% industry average for mobile banners. Users are spending over 9 seconds, on average, engaging with the creative, with more than 11% of users visiting the landing page to express interest in the bike.
